The Tyenna River Cabin - Westerway, Derwent Valley, Tasmania
The tyenna river cabin was a secondary proposal for a tourist accomodation/ semi-permanent residence for the client of the troy river village house, after he was able to subdivide his 2000sqm property and further explore the development potential of his site. He wanted something light, playful & friendly- a suitable place for 4-6 people to stay for short period, or extended family/friends. The client was imaginative & open minded & supported anthropomorphic visual representation. He suggested creating small sleeping alcoves which were able to provide an economical solution to sleeping several guests in a compact space. The figuration of the plan was inspired by baroque church architectures appending qualities.
